A family project at heart.

This started with the horses, but the bigger idea has always been to build something around them, a place with the right land, the right setup and the kind of care and environment we’d want for our own horses every day.

Our Story.

Horses have brought our family together across two generations. A mother’s childhood love of riding became a daughter’s passion for showjumping, supported and encouraged every step of the way.

Today, with Miglė riding, her mum closely involved and her brother Ernestas helping build the business, that passion is growing into a family venture. At its heart are our horses, their development and the enjoyment of doing this together.

Stay. Ride. Experience.

Set within one of Lithuania’s oldest equestrian sites, the stay combines character-filled accommodation with the atmosphere of a working stud and more than a century of equestrian history.

Guests can stay within the complex, spend time around the stables, take part in riding experiences and enjoy the setting at their own pace. It’s a chance to experience Žagarė Stud as more than somewhere to sleep - with the horses, architecture and history all forming part of the stay.
